MOUNT VERNON — Jennifer A. Algire, 68, of Mount Vernon, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon.

Jennifer was born June 17, 1944, in Methwold, Hythe, England, to John William Chaplin and Anne Elizabeth (Carr) Chaplin, and had been a resident of Knox County since 1982. Jennifer was an active member of Wayne Grange and Knox Pomona Grange.

Surviving are her daughters, Diane Cole and Tammy (Darin Blamer) Breeze, both of Mount Vernon; son, David (Tiffanee) Algire of Midwest City, Okla.; four grandchildren, Sarah (Tommy) Howard, Chris Cole, Austin Algire and Dalton Algire; special grandchildren, Jessica Stricker, Marley Lang and Kylie Lang; brothers, John Chaplin and George Chaplin; sisters, Lena Lucas, Bette Chivers and Chrissy Church.

Besides her parents, Jennifer was preceded in death by her husband, Larry G. Algire in 2009; great-grandchildren, Bailey and Caleb Howard; and sisters, Joan Brown, Emily Chaplin and Brenda Chaplin.

The family will receive friends Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 E. College St., Fredericktown. Following the visitation, there will be a memorial service honoring the life of Jennifer A. Algire.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital, 300 W. 10th Ave., Columbus, OH 43210.

The Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown is honored, to have been chosen, to serve the family of Jennifer A. Algire.
