UTICA — A graveside service for Stanford J. (Harrah) O’Hara, 98, of Utica, will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Wilson Cemetery. Burial will follow with military honors by Licking County Veterans Alliance.

Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Law-Baker Funeral Home, 34 N. Main St., Utica.

Stanford died May 27, 2013, at Arlington Care Center, Newark. He was born May 12, 1915, in Coshocton County, Ohio, to the late Glenn L. and Martha M. (Stanford) Harrah. He was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from the Air Force Base and sold automobiles for Wahl Motors and Walker & Battat. Stan was a school bus driver for North Fork Schools. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge, BCW Lodge, OES Glenwood Chapter and Commandery Newark.

He is survived by his daughter, Carol Bricker of Utica; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Susan O’Hara, Gene and Karen O’Hara, all of Newark; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Agnes E. (Wenzel) O’Hara, who passed away Nov. 10, 1995; son, William O’Hara; brother, Larry Dean O’Hara; sisters, Beatrice Whitehead and Helen Smith.

The family would like to thank the staff at Arlington Care Center and Hospice for taking good care of our father.
