MARTINSBURG — Howard L. Kidwell, 89, Martinsburg, passed away June 3, 2013.
He was born April 16, 1924, in Ashtabula County, Ohio, to the late Roy and Clarice (Porter) Kidwell. Howard was a retired foreman with Rockwell International and a lifelong farmer. He was also a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ and the Farm Bureau, and a charter member of the Knox County Agricultural Museum.
He is survived by his two sons, Steve (Nancy Young) Kidwell and Kevin (Jennifer) Kidwell, both of Martinsburg; a brother, Glenn (Virginia) Kidwell of Walhonding; and a sister, Stella Ewart of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren, Stephen (Dedra) Kidwell, Stacy (Dan) Swanson, K. Kristopher Kidwell, Korey (Kelly) Kidwell; and eight great-grandchildren.
Howard was preceded in death by his wife, M. Maxine Kidwell, in 2009; and a sister, Deanna Johnson.
Friends may call Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Martinsburg Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Liming officiating. Burial will follow in Martinsburg Methodist Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home is handling the funeral services for the Kidwell family.
