MOUNT VERNON — Barbara A. Rudrick, 69, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, June 6, 2013, in Mansfield.

She was born Aug. 14, 1943, in Mount Vernon to the late Willis and Ruth (Fox) Schonauer. Barbara was “the best” wife, mother and grandmother a family could ask for. One of her greatest thrills was watching the family tradition of drag racing at Pacemakers. She enjoyed looking at the beautiful flowers and listening to the birds singing outdoors. In her younger years she was involved with 4-H. Barbara always seemed to put others first, most importantly her family.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard Rudrick; a daughter, Melissa (Frankie) Snyder; two sons, Rodney (Lori) Rudrick and Michael Rudrick; three grandchildren, Kevin (Lauren Woolson) Rudrick, Ryan Rudrick and Josie Ann Snyder; three brothers, Richard (Debra) Schonauer, Robert (Diana) Schonauer and William (Kathryn) Schonauer; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

The family and friends will observe a funeral service Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon, conducted by Rev. Jerry Bell, and a committal service in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens following the funeral service.

Memorial contributions may be made the MedCentral Hospital of Mansfield, Ohio.

The Flower-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Barbara A. Rudrick.
