COLUMBUS — C. Clark Street, 82, of Columbus, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at his home.
Clark was born April 7, 1931, in St. Clairsville, Ohio, to the late Wayne and Anna (Clark) Street. He graduated in 1949 from St. Clairsville High School and in 1953 from Case Western Reserve with a degree in Civil Engineering. Clark served in the U.S. Army. Clark retired as Director of the Department of Transportation for the State of Ohio and later as the Executive Director for the Ohio Contractors Association. Loving sports, he was a season ticket holder and an avid fan of the Columbus Blue Jackets from day one. In recent years he was a member of the Wyandott Athletic Club Silver Sneakers and a 50-year member of the Masons. He enjoyed a mixture of family, friends, work and golf.
Clark was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; and sister, Catherine. He is survived by children, Chip (Betty) Street and Leslei (Kim) Street; grandchildren, Melissa (Mitch) Payne, Joey Street, Darcy (Jason) Ewers and Max Mickley; three great-grandchildren; brother, Bill (Kathy) Street; dear friend and companion, Ann Gibson.
Family will receive friends Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where a funeral service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mount.
