DANVILLE — Dr. Albert Junior Weaver, M.D., 69, of Orchard Street, died Saturday, June 15, 2013, at his residence.
He was born Nov. 15, 1943, in Knox County to the late Mary Marie McClain. He served in the National Guard for a short time. He graduated from George Washington University with a doctorate. He was a general practitioner in Marion and also in Virginia. He was also a former employee of the FBI. He was a very generous giver to the Danville community, often helping people in need anonymously.
He is survived by three sisters, Iva Carr of Danville, Charil (Chris) Fhurer of Mansfield and Martha Lower of Minerva; a brother, Norman Lower of Mount Vernon; three nieces; two nephews; and an aunt, Jane McClain of Brinkhaven.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Workman Cemetery. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. Visit www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
