BLADENSBURG — Frank D. Denman, 64, of Bladensburg, passed away Monday, June 17, 2013, at his home surrounded by his family after a prolonged illness.

He was born July 5, 1948, in Zanesville, to the late Harley and Jackie (Archer) Denman. He graduated in 1966 from Danville High School. Frank was a member of the Bladensdburg Church of Christ. Frank retired from Ariel in 2008, and also enjoyed coaching Little League Baseball and girls softball. He was an avid NASCAR fan and a sports and fishing enthusiast!

Frank is survived by his wife, Donna (Rine) Denman; his father and mother-in-law, Gaylord and Ethel Rine; his children, Stephanie McElroy of Shreve, Kevin (Jeanie) Denman of Newark, Pamela Saffell of Millersburg, and Shelli (Mat) Lyons, Renee (Glenn) Grogg and Shawn (Mia Rager) White, all of Bladensburg; grandchildren, Tyler and Taylor McElroy, Joey Denman, Ashley Burch, Jordan, Shelby and Jared Grogg, Case and Kierra White, Cody and Dalton Rager; also great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Brennen and Breidyn. Frank is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Kathleen (James) Long of Jacksonville, Fla., John (Nancy) Denman of Clermont, Fla., Jim (Rebecca) Denman of Kensington, Donna (Russell) Wickham of New Philadelphia, Jeff (Janie) Denman of Ocklawaha, Fla., Pauline (Tom) Guthrie of Louisville, Paul Denman of Ocklawaha, Fla., and Diana (Mike) Jones of Minerva.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Glenn DeVore; stepmother, Dora Brady; and a grandson, Michael Burch.

Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Bladensburg Church of Christ, where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., with Pastor Ben McKinstry officiating. Burial will follow in Bladensburg Cemetery. The Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Bladensburg is handling the funeral arrangements for the Denman family.
