SPRINGFIELD — Stephen George Conroy, 46, of Springfield, died at home Friday, June 21, 2013, of a massive heart attack.

He was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on Sept. 11, 1966, the son of John P. Conroy and the late Geraldine (Rubow). He was a 1984 graduate of Worthington Christian High School, loved the Ohio State Buckeyes, was an avid golfer, baseball player and bowler in his younger years; and enjoyed fishing and boating.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn M. (Pauling); father and wife, John (Ann) Conroy of Mount Vernon; sister and brother-in-law, Heather (Alan) Conroy Malone of Powell, Ohio; in-laws, James (Joyce) Leach of Marshall, Minn., and Dennis (Jan) Pauling of Montevideo, Minn.; niece, Caitlin; nephew, Aaron; and many other family members and friends.

The family will receive friends today from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Conroy Funeral Home, Springfield. His memorial service will be held immediately following at 7 p.m., with Pastor Dan Powell officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, 716 Mount Airyshire Blvd., Suite 100, Columbus, OH 43235.
