MOUNT VERNON — Oliver J. Ogle, 92, of Mount Vernon, went peacefully to be with the Lord on July 6, 2013.

He was born May 24, 1921, in Walhonding, to the late French F. and Anna (Fry) Ogle. Oliver was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran. He was a member of VFW, AMVETS, American Legion, Colonial City Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Eileen (Frye) Ogle; a daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Doug McColeman of California; three grandchildren, Katie (Brad) Sterling, Meghann McColeman and Daniel McColeman, as well as many other loving family and friends.

Oliver was preceded in death by his two sons, David and Daniel Ogle, who were waiting to greet him with open arms as well as, three sisters and three brothers.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Dilley-Lasater Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery in Warsaw.
