Corn is one of the most important crops to the economy of Knox County and. Getting it to market is of the greatest importance. But it is almost December and the local corn crop is not entirely harvested. Wet weather this fall has made harvesting this year�s crop a long and drawn out process. Nonetheless, it looks like another record yield for the county corn crop.

An early start helped give the Shadyside High School football team the edge it needed to pull of a victory over Danville in the Division VI Region 23 Championship game on Friday night, 31-6. It only took two offensive drives for Shadyside to get on the board, only having possession for 1:40 seconds.
