FREDERICKTOWN — Ralph C. Zolman, 66, of Fredericktown, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center following a short illness. He was born March 27, 1947, in Mount Vernon, to the late Carl “Buss” and Ethel (Harris) Zolman. Ralph served in the U.S. Air Force from 1966 to 1969.

He is survived by his two sons, Brandon (Amanda) Zolman of Fredericktown and Mark Zolman of Fredericktown; four grandchildren, Clay and Alyssa Zolman, and Harli and Brittany Zolman; a sister, Margaret (Spence) Hoeflich of Fredericktown; nephews, Spencer (Tara) Hoeflich IV, Chris (Dee) Hoeflich and Casey (Cassandra) Hoeflich; great-nieces and nephews; and long-time friend, Nancy J. Tucker and her canine companion, Brutus.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will observe a private memorial service. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling the services for the Zolman family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knox County Joint Veterans Council, 8704 Ransom Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
