BELLVILLE — Carl D. “CD” Morris, 75, of Bellville, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 30, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born May 17, 1938, in Fredericktown, son of the late Alfred and Vivian (Ebersole) Morris.

Carl honorably served is country in the U.S. Air Force. After serving his country, Carl went to work for HPM in Mount Gilead and retired in 2000. He enjoyed the great outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Carl’s greatest passion was spending time with his family.

Carl is survived by his caring wife, Linda (Park) Morris whom he married March 10, 1959; children, Mark (Diana) Morris of Cardington, Michael (Susan) Morris of Lewis Center and Melissa (George Bragalone) Porter of Granville; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and sisters, Leota (Harlan) Park of Mount Gilead and Ann (Larry) Ullman of Fredericktown.

In addition to his parents, Carl is preceded in death by a daughter, Dawn.

The family will receive friends Sunday, from 1 to 4 p.m., at the Snyder Funeral Home, 33 East College St., Fredericktown, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chesterville, with Military Honors provided by the Knox County Joint Veterans Council.
