MOUNT VERNON — Mary Ann Langfitt, 66, of Mount Vernon, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. She was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Mount Vernon, to the late William and Clarabelle (Lewis) McKinley. Ann retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She served as a volunteer at Country Club Retirement Campus where she was active with art therapy for the residents. Ann attended the Trinity Assembly of God.

Ann enjoyed writing, whether it was poetry or children’s books, she always enjoyed expressing herself with pen to paper. Although she enjoyed volunteering and her hobbies, the most important thing for her was spending quality time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her three daughters, Beth (Tom) Woosley of Mount Vernon, Amy (William) Moran of Howard and Misty Langfitt of Hilliard; and three grandchildren, Chance, Cade and Annabella Moran.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Wendy Foster and a sister, Beth McKinley.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the Trinity Assembly of God, 1051 Beech Street, Mount Vernon, OH 43050, with Pastor Don Matolyak officiating. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon assisted the family with arrangements.
