MOUNT VERNON — Coby R. Pfouts, 54, of Ringold Street, Mount Vernon, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. He was born May 30, 1959, in Mount Vernon, to the late Francis and Leisle (Swadener) Pfouts. Coby was a 1977 graduate of Mount Vernon High School, and worked for Millwood Sand and Gravel.

Coby was an enthusiast of motorcycles of any kind and enjoyed spending his free time watching auto racing. He was a member of the First Church of God in Fredericktown.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Bales) Pfouts, sweethearts since the fifth grade; a daughter, Jocyelynn Pfouts of Mansfield; a brother, Craig Pfouts of Fredericktown; and a sister, Kristine (Mitchell) Railing of Howard.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Steven “Foo” Pfouts.

A graveside service will be held Monday, at 11 a.m., in Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 12:30 p.m., at the First Church of God in Fredericktown, 19535 Zolman Road, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019. Pastor Richard Prater will be officiating. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is handling arrangements for the family of Coby R. Pfouts.
