UPPER SANDUSKY — James S. “Jim” Beidelschies, 67, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, at 10:30 p.m., in his home surrounded by his family.

Jim was born May 25, 1946, in Bucyrus, to Ronald J. and Kathryn M. (Sheldon) Beidelschies, both of whom are deceased. He was married to Jane Taylor on July 6, 1968, and she passed away Dec. 17, 1985. He then married Diane Chester on Feb. 5, 1988, and she survives.

Also surviving are three children, Angie (Brad) Stark of Marion, Todd (Shelly) Beidelschies of Columbus, and Jason Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky; two grandchildren, Brayden and Kaycie Stark; a sister, Karen Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky; and two brothers, Bruce (Sandy) Beidelschies of Mount Vernon, and David (Shelley) Beidelschies of Upper Sandusky. Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Beidelschies.

Jim was a repairman for Whirlpool Corp. in Marion, where he had worked for the past 47 years. He attended Upper Sandusky High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

For hobbies, Jim enjoyed hunting, taking trips to Lake Erie and fishing with Diane. He also enjoyed golfing and following sports, especially when it concerned his children and most recently, his two grandchildren.

A visitation celebrating Jim’s life will be held Wednesday, from 2 to 8 p.m., at the Lucas-Batton Funeral Home in Upper Sandusky.
