MOUNT VERNON — Charlotte Faye (Blankenship) (Tucker) Peck, 70, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at the Country Court Nursing Home with her family by her side. She was born Oct. 15, 1943, in Drill, Va., to the late Clarence and Elsie (Baldwin) Hale.

Charlotte was a former employee of Sunrise, Canterberry Villa, Thomens in Centerburg, Saylers’s, and retired from the Mount Vernon Developmental Center. She loved to garden, caring for her flowers, yard work and being outdoors. Charlotte was a proud Baptist, a faithful OSU football fan, but most of all she loved to be around her family and friends.

She is survived by two sons, Art (Brenda) Tucker and Ray Tucker; two daughters, Chris (Mike) Pruitt and Stephanie Tucker; grandchildren, Shauna, R.J., Kenneth Lee, Heather, Stephanie, Sabrina and Brandy; great-grandchildren, Kinley, Matthew, Angelo and Donavan; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Kenneth Tucker and second husband, Donald M. Peck.

The family will observe calling hours at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, on Tuesday, from 5 to 7 p.m., with a funeral service at the funeral home Wednesday, at 11 a.m., with Harry Miller officiating. A committal service will follow at Eastview Cemetery in Centerburg.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Society, Central Region-Knox 5555 Frantz Road, Dublin, OH 43017; or Paralyzed Veterans of America, 801 18th St. NW, Washington, DC 20006.
