ASHLAND — In fond remembrance of Meredith Jo Genereux. Born May 11, 1943, in Ashland, Ohio, to Don and Ruth Cole. She passed away peacefully the morning of March 20, 2014. Meredith is survived by her husband Leo, her kids, Chris, Brad, Keith and Heather; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Sandra Miller and Natalie Scott, and their families.

Meredith was blessed with a loving family and many friends. She touched and inspired people throughout her life as a career nurse and through her many social activities. She was often sought out for her sage advice and wisdom. Friends and family describe her as passionate, loyal, loving and charitable.

She was strong in faith as a Christian — her values and beliefs were the moral compass directing how she lived her life and treated others. These were the greatest gifts she learned from her mother and passed to her children. Meredith will be dearly missed by the many who have had their lives touched. May she rest in eternal peace in the kingdom of Heaven with her Savior and the loved ones who have gone before her.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 5-8 p.m., at Flowers-Snyder Funeral home located at 619 E. High St., Mount Vernon. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor Wednesday, at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Father Mark J. Hammond as Celebrant.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to make a donation to Care Net, Hospice, the St. Vincent de Paul Society or a cause of your choice.
